We stayed in one of the impressive rooms in the new building overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. The room is adorned with a modern decoration inspired by the overall design of the hotel and the waves of the sea. Waking up and going out to the balcony and feeling only the waves of the sea is priceless! The size of the room is also a plus, as it is large enough to store your luggage, move around in peace, relax in your armchair or, if you need to, work at the beautiful marble table. In addition to its spacious beds and modern bathrooms, you can relax at the end of the day with one of the cocktails from the bar on the terrace of your room enjoying the sound of the waves.
To start the day, nothing better than having breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Located on the ground floor of the palatial building, it also has an outdoor terrace from which you can enjoy the first rays of sunlight of the day. Breakfast is amazing, we loved it! It has a great variety of pastries, fruit, cheese and cafes.
The hotel also has an incredible spa: the Vila Foz Spa. Located in the hotel’s new building, the spa has an indoor pool, sauna, gym and Turkish bath. With natural light from early in the day, it also has a large terrace with comfortable loungers from which you can sunbathe during your stay. Also, let yourself be advised by the friendly staff to enjoy some of the treatments they offer. We tried one of their massages and it was impossible to leave more relaxed! The incredible pool is perfect for both relaxing and swimming, as it has benches on the sides that allow it to also function as a jacuzzi. While you rest on the pool loungers with the pleasant heated temperature of the enclosure, you will be able to enjoy some of the amenities and snacks that the hotel puts at your disposal. If you are one of those who needs to exercise during your travels, the hotel gym will offer you the perfect space, with a huge window with a waterfall that overlooks the pool. From the pool itself (or from the outside) you can access the hotel’s solarium, where you will have spacious and comfortable loungers from which you can sunbathe.
If we return to Porto, we will definitely stay at Vila Foz Hotel and Spa again. The combination of the architecture of the palatial house and the modernity of the new building, together with its excellent location, make it the perfect place!
