After such a long wanting to visit the beautiful Budapest and once the pandemic was more under control, we decided to book the tickets and head to the pearl of the Danube. For our visit to the city we decided to stay at the amazing The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest.
Talking about Ritz-Carlton is to talking about luxury, elegance and glamour, and only upon entering the door of his hotel in Budapest did we realize it. Just 30 minutes from Budapest-Ferenc Liszt airport, The Ritz-Carlton Budapest is located in the heart of the city, being a more than a perfect starting point to visit the Hungarian capital. Fascinated by the wonderful architecture of the façade, we entered the hotel lobby greeted by the friendly staff and immediately marveled at the dome that presides over it. Once we had checked in, we headed to our room, one of the incredible Palace Suites that the hotel has.
The room was perfect: a great hall gave you entrance to the spacious living room that has a comfortable sofa, a table from which you can work, a large television and access to the terrace of the room. Next to it is the bedroom, very spacious, with a large bathroom and a cozy dressing room, and also with a private terrace. It is important to highlight the comfortable and spacious bed, as well as the incredible marble design of the bathroom.
The views from the balcony are spectacular! Enjoy a privileged view of the incredible Ferris wheel located in Erzsébet Square and the huge dome of the Basilica of Saint Stephen. And, if you look a little bit further, you will also see the dome of the incredible Parliament of Budapest, one of the most incredible in Europe. Getting up and watching the sunrise in this park is priceless.
This location makes The Ritz-Carlton Budapest the perfect starting point to visit the beautiful capital of Hungary. It is located less than 10 minutes walk from the Danube river and surrounded by one of the liveliest areas of the city. There you will find from bars and restaurants to shops of the most luxurious clothing brands in the world. In addition, it has a metro stop right next to it, which will allow you to reach any point of the city in a matter of minutes, and it will be a perfect opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful and oldest metro line in Europe.
As soon as you get up and enjoy the views from your terrace, you will have the opportunity to savor the hotel’s delicious breakfast. Of great variety and quality, you can choose whether to take it inside the hotel or on the restaurant terrace. During our stay we also had the opportunity to enjoy the incredible menu of their restaurant: the Ipanema Brazilian Grill. In it you can enjoy a mixture of Latin American flavors, combined with delicious cocktails that will be served during your meal. The restaurant’s decoration is wonderful, with paintings that take you to the American continent, and it has an outdoor terrace. The meat and the salads were incredibly delicious! In addition, the hotel also has the perfect place for an afternoon drink: the Kaffee Wien. There you can enjoy its incredible pastry menu. We had a chance to savor some of their cakes, and they were delicious!
Moreover, during your stay at The Ritz-Carlton Budapest, you can marvel at the hotel’s luxurious spa. Budapest is world famous for its thermal baths, and at The Ritz-Carlton you will understand why. There you can enjoy its large pool, the jacuzzi and be recommended by experts to try some of their treatments or luxurious products. Due to the pandemic, the spa area has to be reserved in advance, so enjoying the entire area for yourself is impressive. When the time we had reserved arrived, we got at the spa and they already had the entire area reserved for us, with fresh water and all kinds of amenities. Later we had the opportunity to try one of their treatments: it was impossible to finish the afternoon better! The professionalism and finesse of the masseurs is excellent.
When we return to Budapest, we will definitely choose The Ritz-Carlton seal of quality again. It has everything you expect from a super luxury hotel, and with an enviable location, it is close to everything! Also thank all the hotel staff for the incredible treatment they gave us, we felt at home, always smiling and ready to help.
